When the battery of a vape mod comes into contact with other metals, the sparks that it creates can cause an explosion. When travelling therefore, it is recommendable that one removes the batteries from the mod and stores them separately in a plastic container. This keeps them from getting in contact with other metals thus preventing explosions.
