Saying frau Troffea is the same as saying Mrs. or Miss Troffea. All three terms indicate that it's a woman. It's only a title.

Shot himself by accident in 1871
Vallandigham was a lawyer who was defending a murder suspect. In an attempt to demonstrate that the victim could have shot himself accidentally and died, he shot himself accidentally and died.
His client was cleared of all charges.
