He designed and built the Colossus, the world’s first programmable electronic computer. This guy started it all, he is one of the most ignored great people in history. This man’s machine not only was the first programmable electrical computer but it also served to decode the Enigma, the German WW2 cryptographic cipher, which arguably means he indirectly saved thousands of lives.
