I think they mean each has a twin. These two are each other's twin.

It says they are both identical twins, not that they are identical twin brothers to each other.

Sounds like others were puzzled over this twin thing like I was. They should have said that each of them "HAS a twin".
Many of the scenes in the movie were based on things that happened to writer Jared Hess. One time his little brother actually called him from school to ask for his chapstick.
