there are many different forms of learning, and one of them is social - something clearly you have forgotten.

The teacher is attempting to ensure that, not only does the child hit their grade requirements, but is also fulfilled with human contact and communication.

Further, the photo was snapped by the parent - so it is hardly likely that the teacher was 'hoping to go viral'.

Try learning and communicating outside of your keyboard and you may gain perspective.
