When my friend bought a house a month into homeownership she asked me, very pissed off, when the city was coming to cut her lawn because it’s starting to look like weeds.
It was awkward when I had to explain that she needs to cut her own lawn or hire someone.

A colleague of me once asked if people have ever been riding dinosaurs or if the dinosaurs went extinct before humans came to be. Me, a former dinosaur kid, now an adult who tries to keep an eye on the latest news about dinosaur finds could not believe my ears. She is around 50 years old and have a masters degree. It made me realize that what I see as common knowledge may not be so. (or she's an idiot...)
