These guys are clearly trying to stay on the shoulder, but it is not safe. Watch their efforts to stay out of the same without crashing and ending up in the path of the j#rk honking at them.
Street sweepers never clear the bike lane. They in fact make them unpassable. I assure you, no body wants to be in your lane. We know about you monsters who want to run is down for no good reason. We do our best to stay out of your sites.
Notice the bike path over to the right. (I've been there before.) Just a bunch of arrogant biking pricks, being followed by an idiot singing truck driver.
While they should be treated as another vehicle they do not reach the speed limit and are a hazard that could be out of the way of normal traffic. Plus they usually ignore stop signs.
Sorry Chester not according to the law. If you have an issue with their speed that’s your problem. Furthermore should you in an emotionally flustered state happen to injure or threaten a cyclist your problems will become much much bigger. As for not using cycling lanes most do when they exits a fit road cyclist is traveling above 20 mph too fast for the bike paths filled with kids and rollerbladers. These guys have every right to use the road. Blowing stop signs oh please they roll them at the same speed all y’all do. If blown at full speed well cops do pull them over for that when they see it. There are reasons to hate cyclists the fact that they ride on the road is not one of them. Also remember these guys are riding 15lb bikes with skinny tiny tires at speeds that would make your fat arses cry for mommy. 15lb bike vs 2 ton car. You mess with or hurt a cyclist riding on the road it’s your arse, you have been warned.
Calling those guys inconsiderate, while that truck puts them in mortal danger is monstrous. What that driver is doing could easily turned in to manslaughter in milliseconds
