#19 Pressure washing vinyl siding is a bad idea. You get water behind the panels and it promotes mold where you can't see it. Mold damage can build up and by the time you see it, it's too late.

Better plan: mix some hot water, bleach, and a little dish soap in a pump sprayer. Spray the mixture onto the siding and let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes. Rinse off with a garden hose. Works great.

Mathilda, vinyl siding is what they call a "drained cavity" - there's a cavity that separates the vinyl siding from the surface of a moisture barrier placed on the structural wall which promotes the drying of wall assemblies after wetting episodes. In other words, it's designed to handle getting wet frequently.
