Kids today have no concept of respect. Back in my day, my teacher would have wailed on me with a cane or switch. Most kids would have kept quiet after receiving their punishment as going home meant you'd have to explain to your parent why you got that punishment and then after confirming with the teacher why you were punished, you got punished yet again by your parents. We do our children a great disservice by coddling them. 41
