Riz Romauli is the founder of Sumbu. “Sumbu first started as a platform to allow people to explore and understand more about the environment and to raise awareness of its protection. It quickly turned into a brand revolving around the lifestyle of sustainability, optimism, positivity, and mindfulness,” Romauli said. “In fact, the very word ‘sumbu’ comes from ‘sumbu bumi’, which means Earth’s axis in Indonesian. That’s how we want to save the world; from pole to pole.”
Realizing the importance of wellness, Sumbu pays much attention to the process of making conscious choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. “If health means a state of being, wellness is the state of living a healthy lifestyle.” And the “happy chemicals” are part of this system.
“There’s no quick fix in wellness. It’s not something that just happens in a day, month, or even a year. We want to help people by reminding them to incorporate daily healthy habits and how good it is to stick to them. Wellness should be personal and an active journey.
