So dangerous. If her hair or clothing got caught , it could of seriously injured or killed her. Some women’s scarf got snagged at the bottom of an escalator in my city a couple years back and she got strangled to death.

Why worry about their hair? The escalator is going up, it's not dragging anything into the floor. If their hair somehow managed to fight against the constant upward motion to get pushed under the floor plate, it simply would have gotten pushed up and out with the tread.

Now, if the escalator was going down, that would be different.
