Before starting his acting career, Benedict Cumberbatch went to Asia where he settled in a Tibetan monastery and taught English to monks. Then he returned to London where he started to master his acting skills — first, at the Victoria University of Manchester, then at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
