#17 those look impossible to skate in, the fact that skates need to be tied snug enough around the ankle to keep the blade perpendicular to ankle to prevent the ankle from bending over and possibly braking

#1 So the modern version should be a picture of sunglasses not correction lenses.
Phone stand
The rotary telephone sat on the flat top surface of a phone stand like this one. The open compartment on the bottom is for phone books and at the top is a handle for moving it around, in case you wanted a long conversation with someone so you could carry it over to your favorite armchair.
