#17 those look impossible to skate in, the fact that skates need to be tied snug enough around the ankle to keep the blade perpendicular to ankle to prevent the ankle from bending over and possibly braking

#1 So the modern version should be a picture of sunglasses not correction lenses.
Fire insurance
Fire marks were attached to homes near the front door to show that you paid for your fire insurance. This way, the fire department (the original fire insurance companies) would actually work to put out a fire that started in your home.
