#17 those look impossible to skate in, the fact that skates need to be tied snug enough around the ankle to keep the blade perpendicular to ankle to prevent the ankle from bending over and possibly braking

#1 So the modern version should be a picture of sunglasses not correction lenses.
Business card holders
This is how business card holders and displayers looked before. You would put the piece of paper between those wooden rolls, so they would act as weights to keep it tight in place.
