Further, the political stance of Dem and Rep in USA has changed and developed since formation of that nation (and particularly since the revolution) - which is what any sane person would hope.
As such, yes - the current Rep party has strong white supremacist themes in both voter suppression and access to government services.

The history of the Republican party is the freeing of slaves and equal rights for blacks. Southern democrats started the KKK in 1865 in response to Abraham Lincoln's (the first Republican president) emancipation proclamation of 1863 when he freed the slaves. They also f@#k up the spelling on theatre, centre and metre, pronounce the French word herb as erb but not the French word hospital as ospital.
They insist on using imperial measurements, even though every country in the world apart from them, Liberia and Myanmar have long since gone metric.

When that term became unpopular due to Americans' hatred for socialists/Marxists, they took over the term 'liberals'. The actual liberals had to then call themselves 'libertarians'. Once the Left ruined the name 'liberals', they began to switch back to 'progressives'. Now they use both terms interchangeably.

riots on the left = mostly peaceful protests
riots on the right = insurrection
