#20 I do this too. In that instant the coins is flying you can feel which side you hope it lands on.

If you're having a heated discussion and want to hang up on some one, do so while you're talking. Hanging up while they are talking will make them really mad (which may be your intention), but hanging up while you're talking doesbn't seem rude to them.

Number 6 about assigning someone specific to call 911 isn't just a tip. The Red Cross actually teaches this now. (First heard it when I got First Aid/CPR certified 4 years ago.

Martina,
He said when his wife is talking to someone. Her conversation. Not as in the husband is looking to his wife for answers or approval.

another good one when some is feeling down instead of offering them help ask them to help you. it will make them feel needed and useful and make them think of something different.

"Don’t say “it’s okay” when someone apologizes. Say something like, “thank you for apologizing.”

if someone needs to apologize to you, then it was something that isn’t okay. my mom teaches this to her kindergartners and it really does make a difference. opens doors for growth and conversation too. “thank you for apologizing, I don’t like it when you hit me.” or whatever."
