Wtf is "soccer"?
Soccer is that ridiculously stupid game you like to watch. Football is a real sport that you need a helmet and shoulder pads to play.

In England, there were two different sports, both called football. To distinguish “rugby football” from “soccer football”, they called the players who played the sports either ruggers or soccers. That’s where the word soccer comes from.
Many people think it’s an American invention, and that the USA is the only country that calls it soccer.

I believe it comes from "association" football = "Socca." That's what I'm led to believe. BTW If you're into American Football do check out rugby league - you might like it. Again, if you like baseball - check out cricket. I believe all those sports started in the UK - and yes not everybody understands the rules and laws either!
