#12 you mean to tell me that given the amount of computer power in the world someone hasn't written a program to decipher this thing yet?

John,
They have tried. The problem is that there are not enough entries to formulate any rules or a codex. It is also laden with drawings of plants that have no known existence (or even similarities to known plants). The best guess is that it is a relatively modern forgery by a master cryptologist using reclaimed paper in order to fool the carbon dating.

John,
It seems to have been written by a crazy person(s), or at least someone who was isolated from society. It literally has no rhyme or reason with whole sections that each are completely different from one another, so sane people who think logically can't figure it out. We can't write a program if we don't have a logistical system to base it on. ...or it's all an elaborate hoax, Occam's Razor and all.

#3 Spartans were soldiers, that was their job. Nobody had to work but the thousands of slaves they had. They didn't use the wealth because luxury was a sign of weakness. The warriors died out eventually, causing the system to collapse.
And they were beaten by a bunch of gays from Thebes.

Eph,Spartan boys were raised in creches and were all sexually oriented to older men and each other. This was thought to make them particularly great warriors. Apparently it worked Only after their service did they re-orient to women, to have children. Your gay slur is not only revealing, it is also wrong historically revealing your ignorance.

Fred, Eph, Epaminondas defetead the Spartans 3 times using the oblique phalanx, a formation used even today in some battle patroling. Sparta collapsed eventually, due to Peloponnesian war, as well as Athens. The ''gay army'' you are reffering to, is not a historical fact. Fred, they only time Spartans were gay was when they ''f@#ked'' Vrenos and the rest of your Gaul ancestors.

Rodie, He was better than many other conquerors that people admire like Genghis Khan or Shaka Zulu. The title is because in his achivements, ''progressive'' people saw/see a multicultural society, for some reason. He should be named Terrible, like Ivan, if you ask me.

Clara, as a U.S. Territory in 1941, Pearl might not have been considered "U.S. soil" at that time.
