While I agree it's the right thing to do I doubt these people are selfless. They are either being paid or doing it for another reason. There are very few if any completely selfless people.
Also, if these animals are defenseless/helpless they are only that way because humans interfered in the first place. Nature finds a way to survive if we'd just quit meddling with it.
