While a pit bull attack on a human is typically more serious, chihuahuas, dachshunds and beagles (you know, like Snoopy) are far more likely to attack a person than a pit bull.
Pit bulls, being larger and with a tendency to not let go/press an attack is the reason they are considered more dangerous.
Chihuahua, dachshund and beagle attacks are not newsworthy; pit bull attacks are.
