Don't leave a frozen turkey out to defrost. It should be in the refrigerator, or it should be forcibly submerged in water. They were asking for food poisoning.

doesnt make sense or there would be mass hospitalizations. i worked at a grocery store. most turkeys were stacked beyond the freeze line of open floor freezers. who knows how many times the turkey has actually thawed before you get it
