It's an Airbus Beluga, as in Beluga whale, which the shape of the aircraft bears resemblance to. It's original name was Airbus Super Transporter, but people started calling it the Beluga, and the name got so much traction that Airbus officially adopted it and renamed the model. It's a MASSIVE airplane, used to transport anything that's too big or too heavy for regular sized aircraft to take care of. It's successor, the Beluga XL, entered service last year, and have so far been used for the sole purpose of moving aircraft parts to where they need to go.
