On German freeways, there is a right-hand lane requirement to keep the left lane clear for overtaking vehicles. Middle lane drivers are looser
if you are crazy/dumb enough to go 400kpH on a public street the "rechtsfahrgebot" is your smallest issue. They are just idots.
nah dude, it does work over here. They did the drive while the first lockdown last year and the streets are empty. While it sounds like it's not true - Germans are used to very fast cars and ALWAYS double check before switching lanes - just because it could be your last time doing it. Usually you always know who is around you and whats happening in front of you, so you prepare to switch lanes and keep the back- and side mirror in your view.
I'm not sure where in Germany you live but for me located near Munich and traveling the whole country a lot, i can't understand your comment. There a re tons of reckless drivers around, not only the bugatti ones but also people ignoring the Rechtfahrgebot or just "oh i use the indicator and now i'm allowed to change lanes", Following traffic must pay attention. So going 400 is still stupid.
I am too located near Munich. A9 Nürnberg 3 lanes straight road, 300km/h not a problem even without lockdown. But keep in mind I was talking about the lockdown and free roads. Not double-lane usage with overtakers from time to time. While there are reckless drivers and - more dangerous - inattentive drivers, the road was still so empty it was not stupid to do a 400km/h run on that exact day. It might sound like it's possible all the time but that's not what I wanted to say.
and yes - while that bugatti appears quite suddenly in your mirrors, no german *ever* switches two lanes to the left out of no reason. We have very strict rules and no one is dumb enough to just do that without checking. Theoretically it could happen, but that chance lower than the guys getting in an accident on their way back home driving normal....
And no, is see on a daily basis for example peolpe entering the autobahn and for without using the "Beschleunigungsstreifen" moving directly to the middle lane.
Your claims are simply ridiculous and the number of accidents, fortunately with fewer and fewer deaths due to the advancing safety of vehicles, simply speaks against it.
I think your are wrong. Even when you are 100 percent concentrated on the traffic etc you will pass around 115 meters per second. Don't tell me that you can handle that. That's just Russian roulette. And at the end, if the others do the mistake you will crash eather and maybe die. No excuses. For statistics about accidents related to speed, feel free to google the Bundesamt für statistics. And you are the best example why Germany needs a speed limit. Nobody likes to clean up the mess after such reckless drivers made or have been involved in an accident.
Feel free to meet reality: https://www.youtube.com/c/dashcamdriversgermany
That's all about the perfect german drivers. Working as a fire fighter since 25+ years in an area covering parts of the highway i have seen so much "perfect drivers" causing lots of death because they can have everything under control. I'ts a shame what you tell people her.
But there is realy a tourism to Germany Just Form speeding. There are even races For the rich (They dont mind the Fees, they are calculating with Them)
