Midge, The main reason of inflation IS interests. Oh and by the way, we're all immigarnts unless you live in the house you were born. Do your DNA test and you'll be surprised of your ancestors. The land under your feet in not YOURS, as long as you have BUY property

Well in Hungary a house like that cost 50-60kk, avg income 0.35kk, and it is 12-14 years of income.
Me and my wife we got 0.75k/month income and the rent and the food and the cost to go to work not including clothing cost me 0.61/month. We don't go to summer vacation, we work on weekends too.
BTW my wife is engineer at Samsung and I'm and engineer at Ericsson.
If you can have a house for 20 month of income or rent is less than 1/3 of your income, you are richer than 70% of Hungary.
