The best coconut water comes from those young enough that the jelly is mere 2-3mm thick. What is referred to as a 'slight jelly'. The water is sweeter and the jelly is soft and tender and sweet as well. dash acute

Whatta waste. Used to strip a coconut with a hammer in half the time, on the back stoop. Coconut water was a discard and still is a scam, IMHO. Coconut milk took squeezing the pulp, which we didn't do. We just ate it. But that was in the 1950's when life was simpler and there were less people to scam.
