Was a helicopter.
I ran the numbers and if I did it correctly, that's around 200,000 US homes.
sources:
US home use 10,715 kWh on average as per EIA
Bikaner-plant generates 2,162.4MUs per year as per the avaada energy site
That's correct what I am saying is they used 6500 acres what what is basically one power plant, compared to about 25-50 acres for natural gas. I work in a power plant we have solar, we hate it, it's unreliable hard on the grid because of the power swings in it. It's cost more to operate than the money it makes. The only reason we have it is because the government gives us millions each year in subsidies to keep it.
Wow. That's sad :(
In Europe the normal electricity got more expensive because the extra work that the household solar panels give.
Still I don't understand if it is not working why is so much money in it. Eg in 5-6 years the energy consumption of aa household is reduced with the amount of the money the solar panels.
And in 10-15 years a bunch of waste is generated.
So if I plan solar on my house I can save money but on what cost?
Solar energy isn't about reducing costs or "saving" the environment. It's about enriching the 'green energy' investors.
