That looks like it could be a specialty spanish ham, worth ~$1,200 - which, when cut like a blind barber, does not meet it's potential flavour or enjoyment (think of pouring a fine glass of wine into a plastic sippy-cup and drinking it through a straw)...
So, it may be a reasonable amount of disappointment given the potential. The communication is obviously lacklustre.
