Well, what's normal will differ per culture of course. But Finland is overall a pretty cool country. (In terms of temperature and the other kind because Kalevala and a lot of metal in my personal opinion) So meat won't go bad as quickly over there.
But we here are pretty much taught to get in a fridge as soon as possible and keep it there until close to when you cook it.
