There’s a cat that lives at a nursing home in Rhode Island who’s “predicted” the death of more than 25 patients there. Nurses at the nursing home noticed that the cat, named Oscar, tends to show a ton of affection and care to people who are on the verge of dying — and there’s actually some scientific basis for the cat’s weird skill.

#18 is not entirely accurate. Cats bury their poo in the wild to evade predators. If they don't cover it in the litter box, it means that they consider you an equal, and not a threat.
If they do cover it, it means they recognize you as being higher up in the household hierarchy. Therefore a cat that does not cover it may in fact be thinking a little less of you than one that does.

Never mind the a-holes above. If you're serious, you should take it to the vet to have it checked out. There are a number of reasons your cat may be doing that, from stomach cancer to worms. Sometimes declawed cats don't like the way the litter feels, so they avoid it.

There is a lot of garbage here. Even IF cats don't taste sweet flavor they still love to eat sweets. Several European and north American town have had cats for mayor's for decades. Cats bury poop because INSTINCT tells them to hide it from territorial animals. Any animal that is hungry will eat you if you die and are their only source of food. If purring was so great, we would have purring massagers (we do but they are NOT any specific frequency). Neutering only extends life because shelters require it before you adopt, or they put the cat down. Being around old folks the cat can SMELL when their organs fail and is trying to comfort them.
