thomastheglassexpert here and what apparently no one thought of is that "glass" no matter what thickness or toughening or not has a flexural modulus (Poison's Theorem) meaning it bends to accept load and impact. Can take quite a whack and return to shape. The mass and weight and load (speed) impact of this moron not near enough to fly through it.
