I guess the word "bonus" eludes people.

Monna,
No, we always know when the employer is trying to bone us.

These people all realize that 99% of people get no Christmas bonus/party/vacation at all?

Malachi,

maybe not on your continent.

In my country a Christmas bonus is a legal part of the salary. If the boss want to skip it, he is in legal trouble.

That's why we have unions, and that's why I don't believe in the 'freedom' of some other countries.

Waldo,

That’s not a “bonus” then. If it’s mandatory, then it’s part of the salary.
I bet you also think that your health care is “free”.

Malachi,
Lots and lots of people are starving to death. Since you believe in everyone being forced to accept what the majority has to suffer through, why don't you just give up eating?

#12. Let someone treat you poorly long enough, and you start believing it's what you deserve. After awhile, it's on you, not the cheap-@$$ boss.

Easy solution: Quit. Start your own business. Give out huge Christmas bonuses.

#10 If it’s in his contract, he legally has a right to it.

Maybe the socks were in addition to the cash.
