No, just paralyzed. The wasp then injects the egg/s into the spider and the larvae eat it from the inside out. Truly an awful way to go. I hate spiders, but man, I wouldn't wish this on one.

I watched a documentary on the wasps that prey on spiders like this and the spiders never win :( Seen huge tarantulas taken like this. One quick sting and it's game over. The spider can't run away, can't hide, the wasp wears it down until it can get in close and sting, then one of the most horrifying ends you can imagine takes place. Nature is terrifying.
