When the guy grabbed the rope to stop his own fall, the rope should have given his hand road rash for a brief moment before pulling his arm off.
When the guy grabbed the woman's arm to stop her fall, assuming he was able to stop his own fall, the woman's arm should have been dislocated before he loses his grip. If for argument sake, he doesn't lose his grip, then his grip would have applied so much force that her arm would be crushed.
