They didn't specify that it was abandoned for 400 years, could have been abandoned for 15 years, but was planted some 400 years ago.
Actually if you know anything about botany and the types of bushes used, the separation between them would still exist until the bushes die. It's part of their photosynthesis to keep those spaces clear.

the idiotic thing (beside your comment) is the wrong placement of the cochlea transmitter coil. Other than that, have you been around a child with cochlea implants, maybe in a store like this? If not, you should change that.
