What do you mean by "nothing is happening"? Do you mean, like, no natural disasters? No alien invasions? No hostile takeovers? Because there's a ton of "stuff" happening in all of these. Only the uneducated, unsophisticated, or the childish would think otherwise. People like Molly...

Minerva, e.g. The Breakfast Club. Just because it takes place basically in one room, doesn't mean nothing is happening. Watch Nefarious. Same deal.

Minerva,

What they mean is, there is nothing to tell. Stories that are about life but not about living. Both concepts are equally valid. Most all suspense movies are like this... long wait for minor story movements.

#12 is a good movie. the book is different. The book 'Roadside Picnic' creates the world where Stalker happens. Stalker is more like a slice of life movie compared to the book.

“Boyhood

It was a really impressive feat of filmmaking, and it got a lot of praise at the time, and for what it’s worth I enjoyed watching it.

But I’ve seen it only one time and I have no desire to ever watch it again.”
