Reverse for me. I had a nightmare when I was younger that stuck with me. The movie In the Mouth of Madness hit me because, except for the book/author bit, it was almost exactly like that nightmare.
True, something we didn't know when it came out. I was a child when I first saw it, but I had already read the book, and I knew it was gonna be dark, but I thought like maybe Disney dark... nope I was wrong.
"What Dreams May Come", left me stuttering and speechless. I don't belive religious stuff and was taken blindly by someone, but I was trained well in it, and seeing it play out on screen in a near perfect way in theaters broke me for a few days.
“Hereditary. Unlike any other ‘horror’ films that relies TOO MUCH on gore and jumpscare. Hereditary made me feel anxious, helpless and fear. Even just talking about it makes my stomach turn.”
