"Requiem for a Dream

I watched it like 14 years ago now. Every single scene is burned into my head and I never ever need to watch it again. Just thinking about it gives me the heebie jeebies”"

“American History X. Things I wish I could unsee.”

“The Lovely Bones. Just can’t watch it without full blown ugly crying and feeling so very sad for that beautiful soul and her family. Knowing how her family won’t get to say good-bye because of some sick f*ck took her life, bothers me so much. Being a parent, these intrusive thoughts pop in your head sometimes and it makes me sick to my stomach…

Great movie! Just stayed with me longer than I had wanted.”

“Honestly The Mist. Ending is too messed up for me to ever forget it”

“Irreversible. What a shocking movie. Took me 10 breaks to finish it.”

“Full Metal Jacket”

"Grave of the Fireflies

Ugh such a beautiful film, I ugly cried super hard.”

“The Fourth Kind. I had nightmares for months”

“The Human Centipede 2. It’s the most horrifying movie I’ve ever seen. At least in the first one, it’s a doctor doing it. In the second, it’s a mentally challenged guy doing it to TWELVE people and just absolutely butchering them.”

“Martyrs was insane. I wish I could unsee it”

“Watership Down”

“For me it was ‘In the Tall Grass.’ Incredible movie left me shook for days”.

“Eraserhead made me unbelievably depressed like no other movie before or since”

“Hereditary. Unlike any other ‘horror’ films that relies TOO MUCH on gore and jumpscare. Hereditary made me feel anxious, helpless and fear. Even just talking about it makes my stomach turn.”

“When the wind blows. my mom thought it was a good idea to show me that movie when I was 8. I was scared our house would be bombed and I’d be the only one to survive.”

“I Spit On Your Grave…1 & 2”

“Donnie Darko had me trippin for awhile “

“Schindler’s List. Many emotions were felt.”

“The first time I saw Oldboy (the original) I was blown away.”

Why would I watch any of these movies?!?! Life is hard enough... give me something fun and entertaining, not depressing and shocking.

Pamela,

Quit whining. Why are you even here? Watching movies like this is actually cathartic to some people. Anyway I've seen almost all of them, and I'm fine. Go away.

Adaline, So is Leonore. That's the great thing about free speech. People get to say things you don't like.

Altered States.

I could not decide whether it was an anti-drug or pro-drug movie.

Watership Down is a good movie, but shouldn't be shown to little kids. Just because its animated does not mean its kid-friendly.

Feeling emotions isn’t the same thing as being messed up.

Reverse for me. I had a nightmare when I was younger that stuck with me. The movie In the Mouth of Madness hit me because, except for the book/author bit, it was almost exactly like that nightmare.

#13 Eraserhead is a nightmare in the truest sense of the word, completely unreal and yet real enough to be deeply disturbing.

True, something we didn't know when it came out. I was a child when I first saw it, but I had already read the book, and I knew it was gonna be dark, but I thought like maybe Disney dark... nope I was wrong.

"What Dreams May Come", left me stuttering and speechless. I don't belive religious stuff and was taken blindly by someone, but I was trained well in it, and seeing it play out on screen in a near perfect way in theaters broke me for a few days.
