#8 I am not a big hugger or touched because of life trauma, but the HARDEST part of working at a preschool was being told to PUSH any children who want hugs AWAY! I could NOT push them aside... I got in trouble more than once for bending down and letting kids hug me until they felt better. I mean push 4-5year old AWAY???
"Disney characters are told to hug until the other person stops.
I learned this in a very sad story that I won’t reference. Hurts to just think about and was told by the character. But the ending was a small child getting a very long hug. And the explanation was that you hug until they stop because you never know what they are going through.
Since then, I’ve hugged until the other person stopped."
