You simply fold in the edge of the tape when you're done using it, thus creating a pull-tab for the next time you need it. 36 Assuming you have an aversion to convenience of tape guns.

The video is a tip for how to find the end of the tape not for how to prevent the dilemma. It is a pretty universal struggle which makes this gif a useful thing.
