I assume you want to say that if F is greater the (D)amage_done is also greater.
Now imagine that just before you hit the pothole you break an therefore decelerate the car. A is negative now. So:
F2 < F1
but V2 is near 100 km/h
and V1 is near 30km/h
Do you really want to say that the (D)amage_done NOW with V2 = 100 km/h is less than with V1 = 30 km/h just because A2 is negative?
There are alot more information needed to determine the (D)amage_done. And visuals may help in finding that informations.
