#1 I wonder if those who saw the Charlton Heston version of Ben Hur in 1959 thought the same thing, since it was a remake of the 1925 silent movie original.
While 'Der Himmel Über Berlin' was an artsy and wonderful experience, the (kind of) remake 'City of Angels' was an absolute unit of intolerable garbage. Nick Cage and Meg Ryans take could be summed up in 4 sentences, instead they took 2 hours for 'Angel falls in love with girl, angel becomes human, girl falls in love with angel, girl dies.' And i'm making it sound better than it was.
“I watched Red Dawn the other day. I’d say, “Red Dawn holds up,” and then I kept getting asked ‘which one.’ Being that that’s highly offensive I’ve cut people out of my life. Swayze forever.”
