On a related note, I saw a video the other day where some guy was clearing snow on a three story roof - not sure what he was thinking but when the snow slid off he went down with it. Remarkably he got up and walked away. It was a loooong fall. Surprised he didn’t die but I guess the snow gave him a bit of cushion.

They did a good job of securing the ladders. I wouldn't clings it because I don't like heights. Probably safe.

Those zip ties are ultimately its fatal flaw as they are relatively brittle. Replace them with steel hose clamps.

This is bloody stupid but it should work: Each 4.5mm zip-tie can withstand a load of ~22.5kg. There are 15 of them in the video (without stabilizing ones), so they should withstand ~ 340 kg. But... in this madness without occupational health and safety regulations, a steel chain would be better than zip-tie.
