Living in an apartment it always kills me when I see other tenants with large dogs. For the reason you stated.
You don't know if the dog will be alone. My dog does something similar when I leave but she is never a full day at home alone, my wife is home on all days I go to the office.

The only thing Bill Nye is qualified at doing is presenting ideas to a tv camera. He has no training in science or physics etc.
I suggest you spend some time watching/reading Neil deGrasse Tyson. Among the many topics he covers regarding Earth and the Universe, Jupiter and asteroids are one of them.
OR you know, just read a kids book on asteroids. Neil is a hack celebrity. no different than a Bill Nye
It’s true. Tyson is not the brightest star in the galaxy when it comes to astrophysics. He’s perfect for getting children interested in the field. But, that’s pretty much where it ends.
