Did you ever fly in to Keflavik Iceland October through March? That's how it is all the time but wet. IcelandAir pilots are amazing.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.

That seems a very uncommon approach to me. Most landings I saw we're stall landings where they aim for the first third of the runway and hit main gear first as the nose gear isn`t designed for high impacts. Is this common for landing in strong winds?

Al,

guess the front wind created so much lift, so he hade to put the nose down, resulting in a short breaking distance,
ps. pretty shure nose gear can manage impacts

Awful landing. Should have gone around. Landed outside of the touchdown zone, and you NEVER land nosewheel first. Just go around and try it again.

I really can't tell if the title is ironic or not... the touchdown is a horrible skip, but the runway seems short... anyway I've flown in Alaska and we advertised some short runways on small islands here, so any landing gets applause historically.
