#11 I know that behavior... it usually comes from a cultural practice of politeness to show one is too full to eat everything provided. The other cause is food-insecurity, she tragically is saving the last bit for later in case there's a problem. The last is she lived with somone who said they wanted the last piece (especially roommates who buy ice cream and want at least one before it's gone). OR, she used to have a pet, and the last piece is in memoriam.

Virdie,

or she is just lazy and by not finishing she won't have to take away the trash/plate.

“When he’s alone, he talks to himself in the 3rd person, making comments on the things he’s doing. ‘Ladies and gentlemen, he’s made the best omelet in history. He’s the man of the year.’ I’m glad he does it loudly, it’s hilarious.”
