I'd like to know how much force is on that. I heard the story of a girl that had a bullet in her leg, and she was advised never to get an MRI, because it would rip the bullet out through her skin. But it came from Reddit so it may be bs.

Noel,

A friend of mine told me her son got an MRI and it ripped a penny iut of his pocket. on the other hand, my daughter had an MRI and her braces stayed in place. So either the braces are not magnetig or very strong teeth.

Noel,
Certainly not BS. I worked at an x-ray department as an x-ray technician - not MRI though - but I tried that trick but with a paperclip: the pull was very strong ( 15 Tesla scanner), so the story about the bullet being ripped out is correct, provided it contains ferrous material.
