The most bitter pill to swallow about man’s best friend is their life span. It’s too short.

Rebecca, Or yours is too long. It's all a matter of perspective

#18 Just like all the other mammals, meat, vegetables, whatever is available to eat.

Rebecca,
life is essentially meaningless without death. if things lived a very long time, people would just put it off until later.

Rebecca,
Humans just live too long. Most animals have a handful of years to live. American opossums only live 3-4 and make incredibly great pets for the first 2. Then they hit maturity and need to run free and breed. Then they raise their young for a year and die, like an Octopus...

#1 Sort of, their sent is obvious from the poo, but the scratches are marks they can see later to avoid walking in it. At least according to my dog. She hates stepping in poop.

“Dogs are better at reading a human’s facial expressions/body language, gauging a human’s emotional state, and responding to cues (words, pointing, direction of gaze) than our closest relative, the chimpanzee.

This trait seems to be an innate result of them living alongside us for generations- in studies testing the problem-solving abilities of dogs vs captive wolves, the dogs would often look to the humans for help or hints if they were stumped, while the wolves were more successful at solving problems on their own.”
