Leon probably couldn't find Europe on a map, but I bet he's got every mcdonalds address in a 20 mile radius memorized.

#3 mm/dd/yyyy is the only one that makes sense. Deal with it.

Elminie,
These guys are comparing how a date would be written in in a spread
sheet with how it is spoken. Europeans say it much the same way when they speak. And it does make more sense to write it the way it is spoken.

Elminie,

yyyymmdd is easier for sorting.

#3 If you want to sort a list chronologically, such as movies for example, year-month-day makes more sense; instead of sorting by the month it came out, or which day of the month it was released, it would be listed by the year.

Sorry, but that just makes more sense.

Muriel,

That's exactly how I name files and make lists of dates. The sorting is so simple.

#1 I can tell you that no one is working at McD's for $9/hr. It's more like $14 to $20 depending on where you live.

Chan, some working that mcdonalds is not taxed that much. Here in the netherlands likely less than 25% As there is no tax at all on the first €8.750

#28 Oh yeah, that's a fair comparison. As far as I know, Austria doesn't have 1,000s of Italians trying to come across the border every day.

Big Mac meal online in my town of Washington State, USA: $12.59
Big Mac meal online in Copenhagen, Denmark: 103 Krone = $14.55 (today's conversion)

Yes, it's a meal instead of just the Big Mac, but I was too lazy to hunt for the single burger. Not quite the same as what #1 pointed out.
