$339 Thousand Go Under Water (VIDEO)

In North Carolina, a house was washed away by Hurricane Ernesto. It was purchased by a family in 2018. Inside, there were four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house itself was built in 1973. No one was inside during the incident.

As a European, may I say that I'm always astonished to see that Americans build houses out of wood, and are always surprised to see that it's no match for hurricane/tornado... that happen A LOT in their country?

Well that's because we have trees, big big trees. And houses on piers is common anywhere there's water. And this house stood for about 50 years before the wood rotted. So unlike Europe we have plenty more trees to build another.
